"Rocky Bear the Wonder Pom" Memorial web page devoted to the little dog with a big Heart!

"I grew up having so many types of dogs and of all of them, Rocky Bear the Pomeranian is the most special. He was acquired through my friend Mike Kelly in March 1994 when I mentioned to Mike that Charmaine and I were considering getting a pet together, we had been living together for a couple of years. I am a practicing Buddhist and I was meditating and Chanting to find the right pet for us. The Universe granted me my wish with a amazing little dog that would immediately draw you into his little heart to love and cherish him. I never realised I could have such a connection to a pet, Rocky Bear was a DoggySattva and made everyone smile who ever saw him. He was my best cannine friend I will ever have!" JPF 01-30-09

Rocky Bear's Memorial web page will continue to expand with more images, annecdotes and video as I am able to get to them. I have been wanting to get started on this page, it has been diffcult with all these memories of all the years with little dog. I have hundreds of pictures to go through, Please be patient with me:)

Rocky Bear left this planet for his next adventure on August 29th 2008, he was suffering from severe renel failure and it was (unfortunately for us) his time to move on. He was about 17 years old and lived a very full life. He was adopted by John and Charmaine on March 5th 1994. His estimated age at adoption was about 3 years old.

Rocky had a dog freind in "Bambi" who was Joy's little Chihuahua who subsequently passed on two years earlier (December 1st 2006). They were deemed the "Two Stooges" for their playful and jealous antics competing for Joy's attention. Rocky really missed Bambi after she left us. His old age and his continuing blindness started to affect his quality of life. He was such a loving and playful little dog even though he was running into things and having his health issues.

Rocky and John worked on their art project together: making the Paw Print tiles. Charmaine had bought this Kit to make one large tile and John cut the tiles into quads so everyone could have their own individual paw print mini tile from Rocky!

Rocky's big 16 year B-day party! Rocky had great party with Rob, Charmaine, Joy and John!

Bambi and Rocky had a interesting friendship. Rocky would bark incessently at Bambs while she would eat, Rocky was territorial but Bambi usually ignored him: she was a "Queen". But they seemed to really like each other as seen in the images below. John and Rocky also had their playtime: John knew exactly how to get Rocky all worked up and he would get really excited and start to grunt!

Rocky's last night was heartbreaking, he was able to spend time with his two favorite mommies! Charmaine and Joy loved him so much, he was a "Lucky Dog" to have such Beautiful ladies adore and care for him! My Oldest friend Chris also stopped by to say his good byes. I have known Chris for 30 years now, he is a dear friend and really cared about little Rocky...
