| The Quest for the Dark Planet Alliance Space Stations Page.
| The A.U.W.'s mission is to create Peace throughout the Galaxy, their Deep Space Border stations are the front lines to this objective. Alliance Border stations serve to cultivate a interstellar/ Cultural commerce between the Alien and Human species during the post war climate. The Stations are outfitted to facilitate various functions depending on their size and locations near the Xyrene Border. The Xyrene X-6 Base has 5 main transport Docks (Hangers & cargo decks) to support a wide variety of transport ships along with energy production, manufacturing, Food Production and Educational facilities to name a few.
| Smaller Alliance bases are located at Interstellar junctions between The border and Core systems/planets. These bases serve as refueling and emergency posts with I.S.F. ships on patrol.
| The Alliance X-6 base (pictured below) is the nexus for Human and Alien co-operation. Just inside of Xyrene space at the edge of quadrant 9, the X-6 base is reminiscent of a old west border town and is the only Human occupied base in the Xyrene region. The Treaty with the A.U.W. allows the Xyrene (and other Alien species) full access and living on the X-6 base.

| The Large X-6 Border space station has the most LED's (73 total) with 7 interior wiring harnesses. Features include: Red sequencing landing lights with White and Green interior lights in the 4 bays, Red Flashing Station Beacons, Blue & Red exterior illumination and White windows. The model was converted and kit bashed with the LED lighting augmenting the detail features. This miniature took the longest to make of all the space vehicles for the episode.

| The Small Border K'antar station background miniature is 2.5 inches in height and is the smallest of the space models designed for this show. Smaller scale models like this are used to create Forced Perspective (film term meaning to create a sense of depth through small miniatures in the background graduating to larger in foreground) since they are only meant to serve as a backdrop to populate space for this episode.

| The image below depicts the model parts before assembly and final painting. 4 small LED's illuminate the model with clear plastic parts aiding in a unified light transmition.
